Bob Dhillon for San Jose City Council District 4bob_RT

City Council declared special election to be held on April 7, 2015 and runoff on June 23,2015 to fill vacancy created by Council Member Kansen Chu getting elected to California State Assembly in the November 2014 election.

Introduction

Bob was born and raised on a farm in a small village in India.

He came to the U.S. at 17, working in restaurants while attending college and spending his summers picking fruit and living in farm labor camps. He graduated from San Jose State University in 1970 with a degree in Industrial Administration, and he received his Masters in Business Administration from Santa Clara University in 1973.

Bob was an early employee at Amdahl Corporation, which quickly grew into one of Silicon Valley’s success stories. He left Amdahl in 1976 to pursue a career in real estate. He has been a successful Silicon Valley realtor for 25 years and small-home builder from 1987 to 1994. Bob has been managing his own property business for the past several years and has been involved in many government and community activities.

Bob and his wife, Rajinder Kaur Dhillon, have two children, Satindar S. Dhillon, Simrit K. Dhillon and three grand children Nikhil, Naveen and Milana.
